Where we began…
The Woodland Heights neighborhood is brimming with homes undergoing updating, clean up, and full blown renovation as is the case with Coluzzi Construction’s current project at 2839 Center Street. Facing the Ruby Van Meter School across the street, this home began as a 2 bed / 1 bath with dingy white stucco and green accents. Wood paneling dominated the interior. The bathroom had a clunky and cramped layout and let’s not even get started on the bathroom flooring! On a positive note, the home’s many windows gave way to a bright atmosphere. The pictures show a lot, but walk through the “before” yourself with our 3D virtual tour.
Where we are now…
This home called for a full-scale remodel. That meant completely gutting it down to the studs. Our architect took the liberty of moving walls to create a more open kitchen layout We even found space for a third bedroom AND moved the laundry room to the main floor. No more teetering up and down old basement stairs with a huge laundry basket. That’s just asking for a broke ankle. (Good thing an urgent care is seconds away!)
But we wouldn’t want to stop at just the interior… Colorful and unique boards were uncovered when the exterior stucco was removed. How cool is that?! Stay tuned for siding color, new landscaping, and fresh concrete!
Where we’re going…
When it’s all said and done, we’ll have a home with a fresh style and updated mechanicals. Since Coluzzi Construction is heading up this project, you can count on licensed professionals doing permitted work and meeting city code. After all, that’s what Coluzzi Construction projects are all about!
We will keep you up-to-date on the continued progress for 2839 Center Street. Just think… Fresh drywall throughout. Tile in the bathroom and a backsplash in the kitchen. Granite counter tops. New and matching appliances. It’s going to be fun!
